Alex Wu is a founding team member and VP of Strategy, Marketing, and Partnerships at NEX Team, a mobile artificial intelligence company. NEX Team created HomeCourt, a basketball training app that uses AI to record and track shots in real-time.
Wu is also a Managing Partner at Cavalier Venture Partners, a venture capital firm that focuses on early and late-stage technology and healthcare investments. Previously, Wu was the VP of Marketing and Communications at Newsela, an education technology company.
Before Newsela, he led product marketing at Uber and was the Head of Product Marketing, Communications, and Partnerships at Quora. Earlier in his career, Wu spent over four years at Facebook in brand, consumer, and product marketing roles. He managed over $50 million in media placements and led global marketing initiatives. Alex Wu was also part of the team that helped elect President Barack Obama in 2008. He began his career at Marketbridge, a marketing consulting firm.
